There is a specific print I would like to purchase, but the
web site says you are "Sold out" of this particular
print. Does this mean the print is no longer available?
A:
If
a print is listed as "Sold out" and/or "Edition
completed", then all prints for the edition have been
sold and the print is no longer available. New prints will
not be made. However, you may be able to purchase an already
existing print from a collector. Let us know, through our
"contact" link, which print you're interested in
and we will do our best to locate owners of the print who
may be interested in selling. We can then act as broker for
the sale of the print.

How does the increase in sale price for the second half of
an edition work?
A:
Sale prices for all prints
increase by 50% after the first half of the edition has been
sold. So, if a print has a limited run of, let's say, 20 total
prints and the original price of a 16" X 20" print
from the edition was, let's say, $200.00, this means that
prints numbered 1 through 10 will sell for the original price
of $200.00. However, once the 10th print in that edition has
been sold, then, beginning with the next print (print #11)
and continuing through to the end of the edition (prints #11
to #20) the price for each print increases to $300.00. ($200.00
X $100.00 (50%) = $300.00.

What is the purpose of the price increase for the second half
of the edition?
A:
The
increase helps to ensure the value of your investment. If
you buy a print in the first half of the edition, when the
entire first half of the edition sells, the value of each
piece in the entire edition automatically, and immediately
increases by 50% of its worth. Because, unless a private collector
decides to sell a copy he or she purchased from the first
half of the print run for less than than a 50% mark-up on
their investment (which isn't every likely) then, no where
on the planet is a copy of that edition available for less
than 50% more than what you paid for your print.

What will my certificate of authenticity look like? What information
will it contain?
A:
Your
limited edition print comes with full documentation certifying
the authenticity of your purchased work. The more, and the
more detailed, the documentation you possess for any piece
of artwork in your collection, the greater the value retention
of your piece. Dealers and collectors are much more keen to
purchase or trade, and usually offer higher value for, a work
that has sufficient documentation accompanying it than they
are for one which does not. When you purchase a limited edition
Derek R. Audette print, you will receive an attractive certificate
of authenticity, hand signed and dated by the artist, which
will contain, among other information, the title of the work,
the edition number and limit, the issuing date, the print
size, and the medium used. To view a sample, click
